This morning I reread Dr. Simeons Pounds and Inches. For some reason I am slightly anxious and nervous. The diet is pretty simple (in it's own way), but I feel like I have this self-induced pressure not to mess it up. I told my husband about it this morning and he was confused. I explained that I do so many thing unconsciously that it is easy to slip up. For instance, this morning while feeding my daughter her breakfast, I almost popped a piece of her banana in my mouth.

I gained 1.6 lbs after my second loading day. This doesn't worry me in the least bit. I was surprised I didn't gain more. Started the morning with some Yerba Mate tea with Stevia and half of an apple. The second half I ate about an hour and half later for a snack. Lunch was chicken and asparagus seasoned with a little lemon, garlic, chili powder, salt, and pepper baked in the oven. I also ate a piece of melba toast. Had some strawberries around 3 PM. For dinner I'm going to simmer some ground beef lightly seasoned with a tomato and melba toast on the side.

I noticed an underlying hunger all day. It may have been more psychological than physical. I tried to drink water constantly to get at least 2 liters in. Also had a slight headache. This first week is going to be tough, but I need to be strong!
